Fr Corapi's life hangs in the balance and a matter of justice relevant info should be known. Pat Archbold from the NC Register has this update.
Two things that need to be considered: we ought to be careful about making the man a saint before his time even if he's made a change of life and done an excellent job in teaching the faith; it is possible that he's fallen off the wagon. People with addictions do relapse.
Continued prayers.
One thing need to be considered: people feel the need to comment on everything and anything these days.
I am very sorry you feel the need to say: "we ought to be careful about making the man a saint before his time" ..... "People with addictions do relapse" .....
Thank you for your measured response. Too many Catholics have built up a cult of personality around Fr Corapi and won't hear of any possibility that the charges could be true. We should be careful not to build priests up to the celebrity level, e.g., Fr. Cutie, Fr. Euteneur, because they are only human and their fall can scandalize many.
