As we enter the year 2026, let us pray for justice and peace.<\/p>\n
Wildpeace<\/p>\n
Not the peace of a cease-fire,
\nnot even the vision of the wolf and the lamb,
\nbut rather as in the heart when the excitement is over
\nand you can talk only about a great weariness.<\/p>\n
I know that I know how to kill,
\nthat makes me an adult.
\nAnd my son plays with a toy gun that knows
\nhow to open and close its eyes and say Mama.<\/p>\n
A peace without the big noise of beating swords into ploughshares,
\nwithout words,
\nwithout the thud of the heavy rubber stamp:
\nlet it be light, floating, like lazy white foam.
\nA little rest for the wounds\u2014who speaks of healing?
\n(And the howl of the orphans is passed from one generation to the next, as in a relay race: the baton never falls.)<\/p>\n
Let it come
\nlike wildflowers,
\nsuddenly, because the field
