{"id":34586,"date":"2017-05-13T07:59:13","date_gmt":"2017-05-13T11:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/?p=34586"},"modified":"2017-05-13T07:59:13","modified_gmt":"2017-05-13T11:59:13","slug":"fatima-at-100","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/index.php\/2017\/05\/fatima-at-100\/","title":{"rendered":"Fatima at 100"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Fatima-children.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-34587 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Fatima-children-300x114.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Fatima-children-300x114.jpg 300w, https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Fatima-children-768x291.jpg 768w, https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Fatima-children.jpg 886w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>On May 13, 1917, Mary, the Mother of God, known also by a title of \u201cOur Lady of Fatima,\u201d revealed herself to\u00a0 three shepherd children in a small town in Portugal. 100 years later we firmly recognize and follow the lead Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia who gave us a renewed opportunity to enter into deeper communion with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through His Mother.<\/p>\n<p>Saint John Paul II tells us that \u201cthe message of Fatima is, in its basic nucleus, a call to\u00a0<i>conversion and repentance\u00a0<\/i>as in the Gospel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At Fatima we were told to \u201cPray the Rosary, every day, in order to bring peace to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hence, we pray for ourselves, indeed, all sinners, as we say the prayer Our Lady of Fatima asked to be added after each mystery of the Rosary: \u201cO my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of hell.
