There is a\u00a0Shrine of the North American Martyrs, in Auriesville, New York. Sadly, the Jesuits have given up the administration of the Shrine.<\/p>\n<p>These martyrs are: Saints Isaac Jogues, Jean de Br\u00e9beuf, Ren\u00e9 Goupil, Jean de la Lande, Antoine Daniel, No\u00ebl<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">\u00a0Chabanel, Charles Garnier and Gabriel Lalemant.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Following the heart and mind of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and the mission of the Society of Jesus to be missionaries, Isaac and his companions left everything they had\u00a0known\u00a0to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ\u00a0to a people whom they had never met. The Holy Priests\u00a0suffered extreme physical hardships, and ultimately offered their lives, for a people for whom they had the deepest love.<\/p>\n<p>They were canonized June 29, 1930 by Pope Pius XI.
