Those over at the Miraculous Medal apostolate have proposed this prayer to Benedict. Every Benedictine monk, nun, sister and oblate has a sincere devotion the Blessed Mother.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dear Saint Benedict,\u00a0You are a \u2018blessing\u2019 indeed, as your\u00a0name indicates. Practicing what\u00a0you preached, you founded the\u00a0monastic tradition of the West by\u00a0joining prayer to labor for\u00a0God \u2013 both liturgical and private\u00a0prayer. Help all religious to\u00a0follow their Rule and be true to\u00a0their vocation. May they labor\u00a0and pay for the world to the\u00a0greater glory of God.<\/p>\n<p>God our Father, You made St. Benedict an outstanding\u00a0guide to teach men how to live\u00a0in Your service. Grant that by\u00a0preferring Your love to everything else, we may walk in the \u00a0way of Your commandments.\u00a0We ask this through Christ our Lord.
