Michael Thompson was published before, but it bears repeating again because as a prayer, it names the desires of the heart and puts us in right-relation to the Lord through the life of Saint Norbert.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI myself shall lead my sheep,<br \/>\nGuarding them from danger;<br \/>\nThey shall hear and follow me,<br \/>\nNot go with a stranger.<br \/>\nInto pastures rich and green\u2014<br \/>\nGod the Lord has spoken\u2014<br \/>\nI shall bring my Israel,<br \/>\nWith my love as token.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Norbert, father of his flock,<br \/>\nTook to heart this warning,<br \/>\nAnd in all his works and words<br \/>\nToiled from night to morning.<br \/>\nGuiding all within his cure,<br \/>\nHe took time to nourish<br \/>\nWith the love of Christ most fair,<br \/>\nCausing souls to flourish.<\/p>\n<p>Father of the canon\u2019s life,<br \/>\nBishop of his city,<br \/>\nPrayed before the Eucharist,<br \/>\nServed the poor with pity.<br \/>\nCrowned a sacrificial life<br \/>\nWith a death of glory;<br \/>\nNow we join with saints above<br \/>\nTo retell his story!<\/p>\n<p>Glory to the Father give,<br \/>\nSource of ev\u2019ry blessing,<br \/>\nGlory to the Son we sing,<br \/>\nWho, our wrongs addressing,<br \/>\nCame to us as one of us!<br \/>\nTo the Spirit, praises!<br \/>\nHear the songs of thankfulness<br \/>\nEach believer raises!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">J.
