As one of the Evangelists, Luke is known for his devotion to the Mother of God, to the poor and to evangelization. Saint Luke&#8217;s gospel and the sequel, The Acts, are works of hope and fidelity to the Lord&#8217;s promises. He is the patron of artists, students, doctors and butchers.
