There the sainted Cistercian abbot likens the pierced heart of Jesus Christ, and the wounds in his hand and feet to the clefts in a rock. &#8220;<b>The secrets of &nbsp;his heart are laid open through his wounds<\/b>.&#8221; (61:4)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Times New Roman'\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Times New Roman'\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.0px\">What more can be said of&nbsp;<\/span>our Lord, our Shepherd and our friend?<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Times New Roman'\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Times New Roman'\">A blessed feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus I am reminded of Saint Bernard&#8217;s image in Sermon 61 on the Song of Songs.
