In discernment with his abbot, Father Aidan devoted his energies\u00a0to teaching at the University of Notre Dame and then for many years Yale\u00a0Divinity School (New Haven, CT).<\/p>\n<p>Why mention this? Well, today is the fifth\u00a0anniversary of <a style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 12pt;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.naal-liturgy.org\/memorials\/akavanagh.html\">Father Aidan<\/a>&#8216;s death. The necrology is always an occasion to\u00a0express our gratitude to God for graces bestowed on his through his children.
