O Christ, the source of endless life,<\/p>\n

We bring you thanks and praise today<\/p>\n

That martyrs bold your name confessed<\/p>\n

And, through their pain, held to your Way.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The gospel preached within Japan<\/p>\n

Converted both adult and child,<\/p>\n

And flourished there by your rich grace<\/p>\n

Despite oppression fierce and wild.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When hatred for this infant church<\/p>\n

Broke out in persecution’s might,<\/p>\n

Your martyrs knew you as their Lord<\/p>\n

Who shined in darkness as their light.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

O Father, Son, and Spirit blest,<\/p>\n

To you all glory now is due.<\/p>\n

As were the Martyrs of Japan,<\/p>\n

May we to Christ be ever true!<\/p>\n
