Guarding them from danger;<\/div>\n
They shall hear and follow me,<\/div>\n
Not go with a stranger.<\/div>\n
Into pastures rich and green–<\/div>\n
God the Lord has spoken–<\/div>\n
I shall bring my Israel,<\/div>\n
With my love as token.”<\/div>\n
Norbert, father of his flock,<\/div>\n
Took to heart this warning,<\/div>\n
And in all his works and words<\/div>\n
Toiled from night to morning.<\/div>\n
Guiding all within his cure,<\/div>\n
He took time to nourish<\/div>\n
With the love of Christ most fair,<\/div>\n

Causing souls to flourish.<\/p>\n

Father of the canon’s life,<\/div>\n
Bishop of his city,<\/div>\n
Prayed before the Eucharist,<\/div>\n
Served the poor with pity.<\/div>\n
Crowned a sacrificial life<\/div>\n
With a death of glory;<\/div>\n
Now we join with saints above<\/div>\n
To retell his story!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Glory to the Father give,<\/div>\n
Source of ev’ry blessing,<\/div>\n
Glory to the Son we sing,<\/div>\n
Who, our wrongs addressing,<\/div>\n
Came to us as one of us!<\/div>\n
To the Spirit, praises!<\/div>\n
Hear the songs of thankfulness<\/div>\n
Each believer raises!<\/div>\n
