My heart has prompted me to seek your face; I seek it, Lord; do not hide from me.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The Church observes the Second Sunday of Lent. The following hymn incorporates the texts from sacred Scripture.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Thumbnail<\/a><\/p>\n

Gone forth from home with God to guide him,<\/span><\/p>\n

Abram looked up and saw the sky:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Even as stars you cannot number,<\/span><\/p>\n

So shall your offspring multiply.”<\/span><\/p>\n

God there with Abram cov’nant made,<\/span><\/p>\n

Promise that shall not change or fade.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus went up upon the mountain,<\/span><\/p>\n

And there, transfigured ‘fore their eyes,<\/span><\/p>\n

Saw\u00a0 the disciples “law” and “prophets,”<\/span><\/p>\n

Standing there next to Jesus’ side.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This is My Son, ” they heard the voice;<\/span><\/p>\n

“Listen to Him, He is My choice!”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of us, baptized in Christ Jesus,<\/span><\/p>\n

Is launched on journey hard and long<\/span><\/p>\n

Where we are daily called to cov’nant,<\/span><\/p>\n

Following Christ with joyful song.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do not give way!\u00a0 Now faithful bide,<\/span><\/p>\n
