Almighty and everlasting God, you choose those whom the world deems powerless\u00a0to put the powerful to shame:\u00a0Grant us so to cherish the memory of your youthful martyr Agnes, \u00a0that we may share her pure and steadfast faith in you.<\/i><\/p>\n

Let us now our voices raise,
\nWake this day with gladness;
\nGod has now to joy and praise
\nChanged our human sadness–
\nJoy that Agnes won her crown,
\nEntered heaven’s portal
\nWhen she laid the mortal down<\/p>\n

For the life immortal!
\nPraise we God, whose wondrous grace
\nShowered on this martyr,
\nGiving strength in death’s fierce face
\nNot with sin to barter;
\nRather claiming Christ as Lord,
\nVowed to him forever.
\nFullest praise let us afford,
\nHymns that shall cease never!<\/p>\n

To the Father, giving life,
\nEndless praise be given,
\nTo the Son, who through death’s strife
\nBrings us all to heaven,
\nTo the Spirit, Paraclete,
\nFilling all with graces
\nBe our song of joy complete,
\nThrough the endless ages.<\/p>\n
