RIP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<span class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\" style=\"DISPLAY: inline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/Marygrace%20Peters%2C%20OP.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"mt-image-right\" style=\"FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 20px 20px\" height=\"192\" alt=\"Marygrace Peters, OP.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/communio.stblogs.org\/Marygrace%20Peters,%20OP-thumb-250x192.jpg\" width=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/span>Today, I learned of the death of a former professor of mine,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.houstonop.org\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=184:in-loving-memory-of-sister-marygrace-peters-ginger-op&amp;catid=35:upcoming-events\">Sister Marygrace &#8220;Ginger&#8221; Peters, OP<\/a>&nbsp;(on the left in the picture). Sister Marygrace&nbsp;died on Feb 21, 2009 after a long battle with lung cancer.&nbsp; Of late she was the Prioress General of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.houstonop.org\/\">Houston Dominican Sisters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When I was doing studies in St. Louis, MO,&nbsp;I had&nbsp;five classes at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ai.edu\/\">Aquinas Institute of Theology<\/a>, for one of the classes&nbsp;Sister was my Church History professor. At all times&nbsp;Sister Marygrace&nbsp;was a terriffic presence: happy, faithful, positive and prayerful. All what you would expect and cherish in a Dominican sister.
