Joye in the risinge of our orient starr,
\nThat shall bringe forth the Sunne that lent her light;
\nJoy in the peace that shall conclude our warr,
\nAnd soone rebate the edge of Satan’s spight;
\nLoad-starr of all engolfd in worldly waves,
\nThe card and compasse that from shipwracke saves. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The patriark and prophettes were the floures
\nWhich Tyme by course of ages did distill,
\nAnd culld into this little cloude the shoures
\nWhose gracious droppes the world with joy shall fill;
\nWhose moysture suppleth every soule with grace,
\nAnd bringeth life to Adam’s dyinge race. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For God, on Earth, she is the royall throne,
\nThe chosen cloth to make His mortall weede;
\nThe quarry to cutt out our Corner-stone,
\nSoyle full of fruite, yet free from mortall seede;
\nFor heavenly floure she is the Jesse rodd
