In his October 11, 1954 encyclical, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.papalencyclicals.net\/Pius12\/P12CAELI.HTM\">Ad Caeli Reginam<\/a><\/i><\/font><font color=\"#000000\">, Pope Pius XII gave the Church the feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman', 'serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt\"><o:p><font color=\"#000000\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman', 'serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt\"><font color=\"#000000\">I think the best way to think about today feast is to read the words of the Jesuit poet Father Gerard Manley Hopkins in &#8220;The Blessed Virgin compared to the Air we Breathe.&#8221; While it was composed well before Pope Pius&#8217; declaration, Hopkins captures perfectly our Catholic belief in Mary.<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman', 'serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt\"><o:p><font color=\"#000000\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman', 'serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin\"><br style=\"PAGE-BREAK-BEFORE: auto; mso-break-type: section-break\" clear=\"all\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman', 'serif'; <\/span>I say that we are wound<br \/>With mercy round and round<br \/>As if with air: the same<br \/>Is Mary, more by name.<br \/>She, wild web, wondrous robe,<br \/>Mantles the guilty globe,<br \/>Since God has let dispense<br \/>Her prayers his providence:<br \/>Nay, more than almoner,<br \/>The sweet alms&#8217; self is her<br \/>And men are meant to share<br \/>Her life as life does air.<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman', 'serif';
