  1. ” . . . the often hilarious life of Fr. Michael McGivney”?
I didn’t realize his life was a thousand yuks! Here I thought this was a role for Jim Caviezel or Leonardo DeFilippis, but apparently it’s more suited for Matthew Broderick.

  2. When I read through the acts for the Cause I don’t recall McGivney’s life being hilarious. But may be that note was in another unpublished life of the Venerable Servant of God passed on to the Holy See that was prevented from reading! May be not….

  3. Paul, thank you so much for taking the time to write a little promo about our production of Venerable Father McGivney. I’m sorry to have read some of the outlandish criticism already before the show was even released! However, I guess any news is good news in entertainment. I appreciate your efforts. Joe Maher, Producer/Director McGivney!

  4. Dear Joe,
Thanks for writing, and reading the Communio blog. I have a special devotion to Fr McGivney: my parish is St Mary’s New Haven, CT where MJM is entombed; I used to work for the KofC in the Catholic Information Service and my boss was the postulator for MJM and I am a seminarian for the Diocese of Bridgeport and my bishop is the Supreme Chaplain. Happy to help and I am hoping the production can be brought east. Keep me informed.
    PAX!
