Today is the feast day of Blessed Mary Stella and her ten companions. It is a day to recall the supreme witness of love and patience and virtue. We honor the lives and the love shared by the Blessed Martyred Sisters of Nowogrodek who were executed by the Nazis on August 1, 1943, and beatified by Pope St. John Paul II on March 5, 2000.
Through their sacrifice of love, the lives of many were spared.
